Your original thread on SD's forum seems to have dissolved and I remember something about MX player needing to be adjusted some, could you please re-educate me. Possibly I need to go with the Pro version but MX Player is working with BubbleUPnP to deliver signal [mpeg2 - comcast] via DLNA very well, yes HD too. I am using Vplayer on my sony phone successfully but it isn't working either.

I am testing a G-box midnight and would like to see how well it works here. So far all I can do is sit and spin. [MX was preload and updated.]

note: When MX was the only player loaded it defaulted to it when I added Vplayer it asked which to use so it is showing signs of proper functioning along with returning a proper channel list. Just notice that your channel list show the duplicate channels on the listing when space allows.

Hi,

In that thread I believe I mentioned that VPlayer seems to handle the network stream better than MX Player. It seems that MX player quits pretty quickly when it gets a few bad or lost packets, which with video streaming over udp over wifi is bound to happen.

Thanks for revisiting this — I ran into similar issues when testing network streams over Wi-Fi. MX Player is generally solid, but like John said, it can be a bit unforgiving with dropped packets. For smoother performance, especially with local or DLNA content, I recommend checking out the MX Player Mod App — it offers some additional playback tweaks and codec support that might help with compatibility on devices like the G-box Midnight. Also, disabling hardware acceleration sometimes stabilizes playback for MPEG2 streams. Hope this helps!
