How to fix no channels found with Hdhomerun Prime device

A lot of support requests have come in saying that a channel scan with a Hdhomerun Prime device is returning no channels. Channel scan for the Hdhomerun pulls an xml file from the device from this site:

http://<your hdhomerun device ip>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected

So if that has no channels neither will the HomeRunTV app. To fix this go to:

http://<your hdhomerun device ip>/lineup.html

and click the option to "Detect channels". After that completes the app should be able to find the channels.

My hdhomerun prime shows all the channels at the channel lineup screen. But I still cannot get channels. I get an error saying "Your Prime device's cablecard is not setup properly. A channel scan for ClearQAM channels will be performed."

I have three computers hooked to the prime on the network and everything works fine in windows media center.

Any recommendations or help you can provide?

Can you send debug logs of a channel scan? Right now the app checks to make sure that the card is activated but it doesn't seem like WMC checks for that so maybe the app doesn't need to either. It would be helpful to see the logs before that check is removed.

I've tried this but the app still give's me the "Your Prime device's cablecard is not setup properly" error.

I got it working. I kept canceling the scan thinking it wouldn't find any Clear QAM channels but when I let it finish it found all my channels. It does seems to ask me to choose my channel map whenever I start it though.
