Dear all,
I'm working with infant fNIRS data and have been using Homer2 successfully for data analysis. I've now switched to Homer3 (mostly effortlessly), but find some functions missing.
(1) Is it possible to segment NIRS files (e.g., to limit file lenght to experiment duration - for practical reasons we sometimes end nirs recording only after taking the headgear off)? Or do I have to manually select this time window and exclude it?
(2) Is it possible to manually exclude channels? In Homer2 I could simply right click a channel on the probe and it would be excluded. For some infants I have channels that were not touching the skull correctly or were "taken out" during testing. If I can't exclude them manually I end up losing a lot of stimuli due to artefacts observed on these channels. For some infants I see that channels were excluded (marked in yellow on the probe), but still stimuli are excluded due to motion observed on these channels. Is there a way to correct this?
(3) Is it possible to exclude stimuli based on a marker? I code looking to the screen and want to exclude trials when infant was not looking sufficiently long. There used to be an option in Homer2 (stim_inc_data_varargin) that allowed me to mark these stimuli and then exlcuded them during pre-processing. How can I access this option in Homer3?
All comments will be very helpful!
All the best,
Ola
