Avoiding duplicate packets

Hi All, I'm currently using the SIP Capture node on two Asterisk servers. The issue is, I see duplicate packets on SIP sent between the two servers.

Is there a way to avoid this?

yes, "uniq packets" should be selected.

I used nginx for balancing first packet to homer, second to null

Apologies for reviving an ancient thread, but there's seems to be a distinct lack of this sort of information in any documentation.

Is this something that can also be applied to HOMER 7?

If I've overlooked something, please feel free to point me to an authoritative, complete source of documented options and I'll go from there :)

Hi here - you need to enable this parameter in heplify-server https://github.com/sipcapture/homer/wiki/HEPLIFY-SERVER-Settings#enable-packet-de-duplication

Check if this does the work properly.

Thank you it worked as expected.

But not for the following scenario -  I have a sip gateway after my FS but the gateways sits behind a NAT IP. So in homer at the call flow i see the NAT ip of the sip gateway and the private one. (FS -> NAT IP -> SIP GATEWAY IP)

How can i discard the NAT IP?

the agent on the FS is a HEP collector that collect HEP from the Native agent at FS. As i understand HEP collector cannot ignore packets by destination IPs. 

So what would be the best way to approach this? thank you.

Hi,

I applied 'Dedup=true', but the Homer continues showing two, three or four same packets of one call (INVITE, 200 OK, BYE, etc.). 

Maybe, it's necessary to put '-dd' to finally: ./heplify -hs x.x.x.x:9061 -e -nt tcp -dd

Is it correct?

Right there with capture_id

Though it's not clear if it integer only, or alphanumeric could be used.  I never tried.
