Here are the sound bites from our leader Dave Van Waldick..

Dave,

The slogans are short and like this:

                No more foreclosures

                Banks, Help us Now

                Fix our Loans

                Don’t throw Families Out

                Homes NOT Loans

                Homeowners For Hope

The best thing we can do individually is

1.       Tell our story briefly.

2.       Ask for the two goals we want:

·         Stop Foreclosures, meaningful Loan Modification in 60-90 days.

·         Fix our Mortgage credit and re-run our scores.

If banks are not willing to work harder at this fast, then we recommend account holders nationwide close their accounts and go to local banks and credit unions who are more community oriented.

That is the message. Simple, but crucial.

-dave

What do you guys think?

Right off the bat... I think you should look to base positioning that says:

Lenders are Liars - Live up to your word. You took our money, you signed the contracts to participate in HAMP and TARP and you haven't followed through on your word.

Banks are lying to our government. Make the banks tell the truth.

Things like that will resonate with more people. Banks aren't supposed to "help" homeowners. They are, however supposed to do what they promise the government they will do.

I’m not sure that “Fix our Loans”

Goes with:  “Homes NOT Loans”

Well, what I'm trying to say is that you may find it difficult if not impossible to get anything more than sympathy for those losing homes. If you're trying to get a movement started against banks it might be more effective to capitalize on what they've done wrong no matter how you look at it.

Just a thought. I just worry that saying fix our loans or don't throw us out may not get any further than awh... That's too bad kind of thing.
