This is a message from the Somerville, MA Community Alert System. 

Dear Neighbor,

Weather permitting, Eversource contractors plan to repave utility trenches in your neighborhood where work was conducted previously. This is standard procedure, required approximately one year after utility upgrades.

Anticipated Work Schedule (subject to change): 

• Tuesday-Wednesday, April 16-17 - Milling (removal of top layers of asphalt of the roadway)
• Thursday-Friday, April 18-19 - Paving of utility trenches (repaving portions of the roadway that were dug up during previous utility work.
• Work hours are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Locations of Work:

• Howard Street from Jay Street to Thorndike Street
• Simpson Ave from Broadway to Holland Street
• Summit Street from Billingham Street to College Ave
• Sunset Road from Curtis Street to Hillsdale Road
• Tannery Brook Row from Cameron Ave to Howard Street

Constructions Impacts: 

• On-street parking may be restricted during construction. No parking signage will be posted at least 48 hours in advance to indicate restrictions.
• Access to your driveway may be temporarily restricted, but onsite crews will help you get in and out of your driveway if needed.
• Trash/recycling pick-ups and deliveries will not be affected.
