Kyle is an 8 year old boy who has an earache. It came on very suddenly.
He feels much worse when mom puts him to bed and he doesn't do well in the
day if he is taken outside either. He has a smelly discharge from his left
ear. He is very restless but also very exhausted looking. He has
difficulty sleeping at night and is awake much of the night. When he does
sleep he drools a lot all over his pillow. He is very sweaty and it is
very smelly. His breath is very foul and he is extremely thirsty.
1. Please list the symptoms of this case that you see - remember take into
account the main complaint, general symptoms, physical symptoms and
related, & emotional/mental symptoms. Just list the symptoms (not the
rubrics)
2. Look up symptoms and make them into rubrics and write them here, also
indicating general, m/e, or physical (and if related is appropriate) after
each one
