22nd Homelessness Marathon --Bringing the voices of the homeless into America's
homes -- set to air Wednesday, December 9th, 6-10 p.m., ET
The 22nd Annual Homelessness Marathon will present the voices of homeless
people in a wide variety of circumstances across the country. We'll hear from
squatters in abandoned houses they have "taken over," a woman living in her car
in the parking lot of a church, guests in a faith based emergency shelter and
homeless people living illegally in a tent community.
We'll also here from experts, including Joey Lindstrom, field director at the
National Low Income Housing Coalition, who will give an overview of the looming
eviction emergency; and Dr. Courtney Pladsen, Director of clinical and quality
improvement for the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, will address
the impact of covid-19 on homeless people. As a SPECIAL HOMELESSNESS MARATHON
EXCLUSVE, we will also present evidence that Dr. Robert Marbut, head of the
United States Interagency Task Force on Homelessness, faked the research on
which he built his reputation.
In addition to the more than 20 radio stations carrying the broadcast, the
entire 22nd Homelessness Marathon will be available via this link:
