We are proud to announce that the 20th Homelessness Marathon will air from noon
to midnight, EST, tomorrow, Tuesday, June 12th. A schedule of the broadcast,
list of radio affiliates and live video of the event may all be found on our
website: http://news.homelessnessmarathon.org.
Tomorrow is also, coincidentally, the date of the U.S.-North Korea summit, an
event that could, quite possibly, either hasten or forestall nuclear war.
Against that backdrop it is perhaps hopeful to remember that we are also shaped
by little events. Tomorrow is also the day, 76 years ago, when the birthday
present of a diary was given to 13-year-old Anne Frank.
There are plenty of broadcasts to record great events. We will just hope to
rescue a few little stories from oblivion.
