Here is a video of my machine. I've got cpu control! I’m currently
working on
a rollergames and will be stripping the playfield to make my own
machine at some point. However, here is the link of it working. I
have to thank multiple people for helping me get to this point.

rpger – nick, but rpgers- Ed, Tony, Matt, and Martin. I thank all of
you because I believe I’m fully prepared to have a homebrew now. I
may have a lamp matrix issues in the future, but I’m close. Thanks

Thats awesome. So the rollergames is 99% original except for the cpu
board? what's the interface, exactly, between a specific switch and
your code? are you using a switch matrix or home-running all of them?

Pretty much all original rollergames stuff. My program doesn't
emulate the rollergames rules, I currently have it reacting to
switches. I also didn't exactally go the control via power driver
board either. The only power driver boards I'm currently using are
system 11 flipper driver boards.

On the switches I'm using an Ipac board that Ultimarc makes for mame
video game emulators. It is a pretty simple keystroke device
(keyboard emulator). When a switch is hit it registers as a keystroke
on the cpu. I'm using visual basic for the programming and it just
puts a text box first in the tab order so that when it starts up the
keystrokes are put into the text box and the code reacts to that.

So did you wire up the switches directly to discreet inputs on the IPAC
or is the IPAC operating in a switch matrix mode so you could keep the
original switch matrix wiring?

wait, can you explain this? how do you power your solenoids then? I
get the switching, I've used an IPAC for my MAME cabinet with great
success. but.... triggering a 25-50v line...

Ha, ya that would be tough the Ipac just does the switches. Switches
then generate the keystroke for visual basic to interpret. Visual
basic then triggers the corresponding action using a UHID (also made
by Ultimarc). The Uhid circut is here -

So the quick and dirty is IPAC = input, UHID = Output to control
solenoid.
