Jane, Emily, and Everybody---Great idea here!  And it is realistic, too.  Some years back, faculty poets and some graduate students in the English Department (my old home) did just this with kids on our buses.  But not with climate change, which is the great new add-on concept.  I have heard that Boston has also done this.  Anyway, there's no reason in the world why such a thing wouldn't work--and thrive--here.  Yep, great idea.--John

An idea from Jane:

Hi Emily,

Miami has a fabulous festival that is going on right now for poetry month.  It's called "O, Miami."  When I heard about the kids' poetry being featured on city buses, I thought of the "CAP and kids" brainstorming. What about  kids' messages (or even poetry) about climate change being featured on one or several City buses as they do in Miami?  Likely a city/schools/museum partnership.  I've included a link (below) to an article about the poetry bus with a photo featuring one of the buses.

The kids apparently are so proud to have their work featured on the buses.  Words and thoughts or poems related to climate change could be on the outside of the bus body itself (as in Miami) or maybe even inside or on bus posters on the sides.

Just an idea to put into the idea "cap!"
