One of the longest established internet scams is that of stuffing
envelopes. Those looking to work from home will have at least seen the
advertisements stating how a large income can be achieved simply by
stuffing a few envelopes.
Most people who are enticed into paying to learn about the envelope
stuffing scheme will believe that they will receive a long list of
companies that are willing to pay for you to stuff envelopes with
their material. In reality what you will get is instructions on how to
place ads so that other's will pay you to get the information that you
have paid for. In essence it is a pyramid scheme where money can only
be made if there are more people willing to pay for the useless
information. It is obviously a scam as how many companies would pay
for something that machines can do much cheaper and quicker than any
person?
The only time that people are willing to pay for stuffing envelopes
are during political campaigns or some similar enterprise. Even then
volunteers are normally called for and any payment will normally only
cover expenses and can not be truly called a viable work at home
business.
One of the reasons in the growth of the internet is that conventional
postal systems are now obsolete, and so there are many more legitimate
and lucrative businesses available through the use of a computer. In
whatever online venture it decide to pursue, be sure to stay away from
any get-rich-quick schemes and you should be fine.
