From the Pastor: This weekend, we celebrate the “Good Shepherd Sunday” of the Easter season. Easter reminds us that our Lord's promise is to care for us as a shepherd cares for the sheep. Today, as the people of God, we realize that this task has been passed along to the church itself. Even as we celebrate the care we receive, we also realize our Lord calls us to care for others in the world with the love and attention a good shepherd would provide for a flock of sheep.
Mrs. Robin’s 4th and 5th grade Sunday School class will be collecting canned goods for MUST. You may drop them off at the Children’s Ministry Station now through May 7th. Thank you in advance for your participation.
YOUTH MINISTRIES
A BIG thank you from Youth Ministries to the Holy Trinity community for making the HT Yard Sale a BIG success. Thank you for volunteering, donating treasures and shopping at the yard sale. It was an excellent community event and has our youth well on their way to Puerto Rico and AFFIRM.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus celebrates its 20th season with a concert tour of South Carolina and Georgia, performing at St. John’s Lutheran Church (1410 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307; 404-378-4243) on Saturday, May 6 at 7 PM. LRYC has sung for the bishop installations, synod events, and choral festivals in the US and abroad. Founded in 1996 by Florence Jowers as part of the Lenoir-Rhyne University sacred music program, the Chorus has more than 60 singers in grades 3-12 in three choirs. They are directed by Cory Westby, who is on his first season with LRYC. Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC is affiliated with the NC synod of the ELCA. The concert is free and open to the public.

MUST Summer Lunch – May 31
Holy Trinity has again pledged to provide 1,000 sack lunches for MUST Ministries’ Summer Lunch Program.
During the month of May, we will be collecting the following needed items: zip top sandwich bags, bread, fruit cups, juice boxes, and chips. We will purchase ham with a Thrivent Action Grant. Please sign up at the Ministry Station on the weekends of May 6-28, to donate items and help assemble lunches. All supplies should be in the Fellowship Hall by Sunday, May 28.
We’ll get together on Wednesday, May 31, at 6:00 p.m. to prepare the sandwiches and assemble the lunches. We’ll also need several volunteers to help deliver the lunches to a distribution center on Thursday morning, June 1.
The Flower book for 2017 dedications is now available on the wooden table in the fellowship hall. Please print and fill out completely all information.
WORSHIP COORDINATORS NEEDED
We are in immediate need of worship coordinators for the 11 a.m. service on Sunday mornings. This person needs to be in the sacristy area around 30 minutes prior to the service to be sure all of the worship servants for the service arrive and are robed and prepared for the service. Once everyone is in place, the worship coordinator is done for that Sunday. If we have several worship coordinators, we can alternate months which makes it easier for all. We could also use additional 8:30 worship coordinators so they can alternate also. Please consider if this would be an easy way for you to serve here at Holy Trinity.

Collections: Youth collect aluminum cans. Please place rinsed cans in Aluminum bin in the parking lot but please put the tabs in the Ronald McDonald collection in the library. Eyeglasses and hearing aids, white socks, bars of soap, and food of the month are collected in marked bins in the fellowship hall.
