From the call committee – Michelle Angalet, our synod representative, met with your call committee last week and presented names of candidates for the Senior Pastor position. Please be aware that these names are confidential and cannot be shared with the congregation at this time. Please be respectful of the confidentiality of these names and know that we cannot either confirm or deny names that we have received. We appreciate your understanding and I will keep you informed as to where we are in the process. We hope to have our first interviews with the candidates after Memorial Day and will start the process of second interviews and the narrowing of the candidate pool after that. Thank you for your understanding and know that the committee has the best interests of the congregation in mind as we go through this process.
Sabra Black, Chair, Call Committee
Please open and read the attached letter from the Stewardship Committee and check out how we are doing and what is in store for our future.
VBS is 1 week away!
We have 96 kids pre-enrolled in VBS! We are expecting to host 150-160 kids this year, which means we need at least 25 crew leaders (rising 6th graders to adult) to lead these kids through the various VBS program stations. Currently we have 12 crew leaders signed up. We invite you to please sign-up as a crew leader and invite a friend to join you for a fun week! Please contact Gaye Markham via phone or text to 678-332-8095 and let her know which day and time this week that you can attend a Youth crew leader’s meeting (Pizza Party!). Look for final meeting details to come.
We are still in need of Adult volunteers and donation items! Please stop by our ministry table and pick up donation sheets. Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child by giving your time and sharing your talents!
Please join us for the VBS closing ceremony on Friday, June 16th followed by a family picnic!

A/V Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteers to run our AV booth. Both women and men are invited and full training will be provided. Volunteers are typically scheduled about every 6 weeks when we have a full team. Rotation will begin as soon as you’re trained and available. Speak with Tim Young or the church office to volunteer. Thank you!!
W-ELCA Annual Women’s Scholarship
Holy Trinity’s Women of the ELCA organization will again offer a $1000.00 educational scholarship. It is the intent of this organization to encourage women of all ages to expand their current talents as a Christian and perhaps carry those and newly learned talents into an area that will enable her to help others know God too. Please review the application for all requirements and details. The application is available on Holy Trinity’s website. Hard copies are currently posted on the W-ELCA bulletin board, near the church office door. The deadline for receipt of the applications is Sunday, July 30, 2017.
There are still several dates available in the flower book for 2017 dedications. Please check the book on the wooden table in the fellowship hall to choose a date to donate flowers for the sanctuary.
WORSHIP COORDINATORS NEEDED
We are in immediate need of worship coordinators for the 11 a.m. service on Sunday mornings. This person needs to be in the sacristy area around 30 minutes prior to the service to be sure all of the worship servants for the service arrive and are robed and prepared for the service. Once everyone is in place, the worship coordinator is done for that Sunday. If we have several worship coordinators, we can alternate months which makes it easier for all. We could also use additional 8:30 worship coordinators so they can alternate also. Please consider if this would be an easy way for you to serve here at Holy Trinity.
Did you know that you can now donate to Holy Trinity through our website? Click on "Giving" at the top of the page, then press the "Donate" button.
Simply Giving, another simple and convenient way to give.
Consider signing up for
electronic giving. Holy Trinity relies
on the financial support of the congregation and electronic giving offers an
easy way to give on a recurring basis.
Please contact the church office for details. Thank you!
