From the Pastor: As we move through the Easter season, we come to understand that the resurrection of Jesus is really a prelude to eternal life for all of us. In our Gospel lesson this Sunday, Jesus offers the disciples a promise that he goes to prepare a place for them. In the same way, that place is being prepared for all who believe. In other words, God's promise to us is that as people of faith, we will all dwell in the Kingdom of God. To me, this is the greatest part of the resurrection message we celebrate during the 50 days of Easter. God is at work in all of our lives. God's promise is with us always. And, God has a place for all of us regardless of our circumstances in life. Amazing isn't it?

YOUTH NEWS
High school graduates will be joining us for a special blessing at the 8:30am worship service on May 21.
End-of-year party for all youth, May 21st, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at Holy Trinity. Food, fun, games – celebrate our grads.
MUST Summer Lunch – May 31
Holy Trinity has again pledged to provide 1,000 sack lunches for MUST Ministries’ Summer Lunch Program.
During the month of May, we will be collecting the following needed items: zip top sandwich bags, bread, fruit cups, juice boxes, and chips. We will purchase ham with a Thrivent Action Grant. Please sign up at the Ministry Station on weekends Through May 28, to donate items and help assemble lunches. All supplies should be in the Fellowship Hall by Sunday, May 28.
We’ll get together on Wednesday, May 31, at 6:00 p.m. to prepare the sandwiches and assemble the lunches. We’ll also need several volunteers to help deliver the lunches to a distribution center on Thursday morning, June 1.
W-ELCA Annual Women’s Scholarship
Holy Trinity’s Women of the ELCA organization will again offer a $1000.00 educational scholarship. It is the intent of this organization to encourage women of all ages to expand their current talents as a Christian and perhaps carry those and newly learned talents into an area that will enable her to help others know God too. Please review the application for all requirements and details. The application will be available on Holy Trinity’s website soon, and will also be emailed out as an attachment to an upcoming Weekly Email. Hard copies are currently posted on the W-ELCA bulletin board, near the church office door. The deadline for receipt of the applications is Sunday, July 30, 2017.
The Flower book for 2017 dedications is now available on the wooden table in the fellowship hall. Please print and fill out completely all information.
WORSHIP COORDINATORS NEEDED
We are in immediate need of worship coordinators for the 11 a.m. service on Sunday mornings. This person needs to be in the sacristy area around 30 minutes prior to the service to be sure all of the worship servants for the service arrive and are robed and prepared for the service. Once everyone is in place, the worship coordinator is done for that Sunday. If we have several worship coordinators, we can alternate months which makes it easier for all. We could also use additional 8:30 worship coordinators so they can alternate also. Please consider if this would be an easy way for you to serve here at Holy Trinity.

Collections: Youth collect aluminum cans. Please place rinsed cans in Aluminum bin in the parking lot but please put the tabs in the Ronald McDonald collection in the library. Eyeglasses and hearing aids, white socks, bars of soap, and food of the month are collected in marked bins in the fellowship hall.
