People who are religious minded accept whatever comes. I always say expect, accept and adjust - that is my motto. You can expect anything. Expect what is the best, the greatest, the highest - it may come or may not come. When things go wrong, accept it and adjust to the situation. Our expectation may not be fulfilled but let us accept and adjust. Adjust means changing our attitude. You expected something but got something else, accept it and adjust to the situation and then be happy.
