Meaning:
Meerabai says:- O mind ! chant the name of the Lord who sometimes is known as Ram and sometimes Govind!
The ways of destiny are really strange…..o saints……really strange!
Though nature has given such big and beautiful eyes to deers, still what they have got to see? They keep roaming in the wilderness of the forests.
The lord has given such bright complexion to useless cranes, but coloured the melodious cooku (koyal) bird in black! What an irony! The ways of the lord are strange!
O destiny! Thou hast given the smaller rivers clear and sweet waters but made the great ocean salty! What to say……….thy ways are really strange!
You make the fools king, while the deserving ,pious and learned people wander in this world as beggers!........ thy ways are really strange!
This poor Meera has only sri govind,giridhar-the holder of mount govardhan as her Lord but the king not believing her chastity thinks someone else to be her lover! Really strange! O destiny…….. thy ways are really strange!

करुणाद्भवति निर्मोहोनिर्मोहात्स्मृतिरागमः । स्मृतिवृध्याद्बुद्धिशुद्धिः धीशुध्याद् विमुच्यते ॥
