Next is the Manomaya kosa. The mind is always in contact with the other two – the physical system and the nervous system. Inside that or beyond that is the intellectual system. There is a big controversy going on in the West that thinking depends on the brain. They numbed the brain and they found that the mind was still working. The mind acts upon the brain; through the brain the intellect acts. The brain therefore is the instrument through which the intellect acts.
