Power of the Name – 16

 

Of all the names of God, the great rishis found that the mantram is very powerful.  The mantram, when it is received from a proper guru in a proper way then it is more powerful.  Proper guru means one who belongs to a parampara, having  generations of gurus behind him. When such a guru gives that mantram, then the power of all the members of that vast guru family, the parampara, will be in that mantram. When the guru imparts the mantram, he infuses into it a little of his power.
