The elder Gopal, another disciple of the Master, related this incident: " One day Latu was meditating on the bank of the Ganges. He used to choose a seat above the level to which the water rose during flood tide. However, that day the water rose unusually high, up to where he was sitting in meditation, and continued rising. Latu was so absorbed that he did not feel the water. I anxiously reported the matter to the Master. He came hurriedly, waded out to where Ltu was, and brought him back to normal consciousness."
