PATHWAY TO PEACE AND FREEDOM - 09
One needs to have a true understanding of one’s own capacity – how much can I do? Before setting up the goal we have to have an estimate of our own capacity to attain that and retain that. There is a booklet which gives the experiences of ten people who had reached the top of Mount Everest. One person has written that after very hard struggle he reached the top which is a small platform, and he thought he would stand there, the sovereign ruler of the world, who had conquered the entire Himalayan range. But, he says, ‘I was absolutely disappointed because when I reached there, thirty people were already there! There was not even standing space for me; I was so disappointed that I immediately left the place.’
