PATHWAY TO PEACE AND FREEDOM - 18
Churchill remained there waiting for the call. He could not go even for his food or personal needs. Finally, in the evening the call came – “I don’t want to see you. You may go.” So he jumped on to his horse and rode back to his people who were waiting. When he reached the camp he was shocked to see the whole camp had been killed by enemy attack! Only he survived. Though he had to go through this agonising ride on two nights and remain quietly there for one day, he was saved.
He knelt down and prayed, “O Lord, you love me so much, you want something greater to be done by me that’s why you saved my life.” And as we know, later he became the Prime Minister of England.
