The four cardinal principles of Vedanta are the divinity of man, the oneness of God, the unity of existence, the harmony of religions. The heart of man is the seat of God. God exists everywhere but man can communicate with Him only in his heart. Then why should we have temples and churches and mosques? I carry my face everywhere but my face is the only thing that I cannot see. I can see every other face. So what do I do? I look in the mirror, where it forms an image and the image tells me what I look like.
