Sri Ramakrishna says, first deserve then desire. Make sure that you really deserve it. Have the humility, the patience, the buddhi to understand, and the large heartedness to accept. Spiritual journey starts when a man realises the fact that real, lasting happiness cannot be gained from this world by money, position or love of people around. When such a realisation comes, he goes to a Guru.
