You and I young people
What we can learn from the Older generation – 17
Some of you may have heard of Max Muller. He was a great scholar in Oxford University. In his autobiography he gives a very interesting remark. You may not like it but it is truth. They say “Truth always hurts. Truth is not always sweet, it is bitter.” He says “Young people think that old people are fools but old people know that young people are.” Now it is the duty and responsibility of the younger generation to prove that it is not correct. We are not fools. We sometimes behave like fools though we are educated. That is why Aldous Huxley calls us ‘educated fools’; another person says ‘academic idiots’, because we do not know how to live.
