The many and various deities worshipped by the Hindus and also by the followers of all other religions are regarded by the Hindu as diverse manifestations of the one God. None of them represents the full glory and nature of the Supreme Reality, only a part. The Personal God like Sri Krishna, Jesus, Sri Ramakrishna and others and the Impersonal like the Father in Heaven, Allah, the Universal Mother, Jehovah, Ishwara etc. are but readings of the Absolute by the human mind of diverse tendencies, helping to meet the needs and demands of the world at particular periods.
