Stress, Strain and Tension – 22
Rabindranath Tagore says in one of his poems – Light the lamp of puja, aradhana, the lamp of love for Him. He is never anywhere else, He is here, within us. But we don’t see him because it is full of darkness. Light the lamp of love and devotion and we will see his face, waiting for us to look. We are asked to think of the face of Sri Ramakrishna or any other deity. When we look at him He smiles. Imagine Him sitting there with a smiling face. Why? Because all this while we have been looking towards the world outside. Now, closing our eyes to the world, we look at Him. Sri Ramakrishna says, “Oh, at last my child is looking at me. All this while he had been looking at the world. Now he has turned his eyes towards me.”
