28-AUGUST
Tolerance – 15
Ahimsa – when do we practise Ahimsa? When we have love. For example, if there is a mischievous boy and the whole neighbourhood is fed up of his antics, they complain to his mother. She may scold him when he is inside the house but in front of the neighbours she will say, ‘My son is the best boy in the world.’ Love sees no fault. Love is inside, beauty is inside. Isn’t there a saying, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder?” What is good and beautiful in my eyes may not be beautiful in someone else’s eyes. So where is beauty? In our eyes. The whole world is in us. Love, hate, all of it. So do not blame anybody. That is Ahimsa. It is tolerance.
