Guru Purnima – 20
Shang then invited him to come and sit near him. Again nine years passed. At the end of that time he found that all distinction between man and man, tree and plant, stone and sand were gone. Whatever he looked at he saw only one. That is existence. He did not know about God, so he could not say that I saw only God. The same thing existed everywhere and in everything. His mind was extremely calm. No disturbing thoughts existed, it was absolutely calm. His mind was in harmony and his body was relaxed. He was no longer concerned where he was. Even the difference between Guru and disciple was gone. Lao Tzu stayed with him for many more years and became just like his guru, a great teacher. He made himself deserving. How many of us can go that far?
