Unity in Diversity – The Many Faces of Faith - 04
An ancient Hindu text says: “As different rivers, having their sources in different places, all mingle their water in the sea, so also all human endeavours, good or evil, find culmination in the same Goal, the Ultimate God-head.” Sri Ramakrishna’s simple statement is well known – “As many faiths, so many paths.” This, in gist, gives the attitude of Vedanta, Hindu philosophy and religion, towards God, creation and human life in general. From time immemorial “unity in diversity” has been the theme of the quest of all religious seers and seekers of India and Hinduism in particular.
