Power of the Name – 10
In Raja Yoga, Swami Vivekananda says, space and energy, ākasha and prāna were created first. Through the combination and manipulation of these two, the whole of creation came up. The one word for all these things is sphota, explosion. That is what modern science calls Big Bang. When I read that I wondered how modern science arrived at the same conclusion which our ancient Vedic Rishis, as Einstein says, sitting in the distant caves of the Himalayas and experimenting in the laboratory of their mind found out these and named it sphota. Then they thought about the whole thing – creation, evolution etc.
