Sri Ramakrishna says ‘If it is here, it is there; if it is not here, it is not there.’  What do we do when we go to the temple?  We project the image of the Lord in our heart on to the image in the temple, worship it and then go home. We are really worshipping the Lord in our heart, not the stone image but the Lord in our heart, projecting Him on to the image, because we cannot see Him otherwise.
