You and I young people
What we can learn from the Older generation – 14
Remain young always but old in age like Sankaracharya. By the age of eight he had learnt all the Upanishads and all the ancient lore of Hinduism. Then he opened a school and began to teach. He had excellent memory. Hearing about this great personality in his kingdom, the local king who was a great scholar, came to see him. The king had composed a long poem in Sanskrit. He came and sat before the young boy and said, “Will you please correct this composition of mine?” “Will you be gracious enough to do it?” The King asking the young boy of eight! Sankara glanced through the whole thing, made some corrections and gave it back.
