Self-pity is our great enemy; never give-in to it. It was Arjuna’s self-pity that made him incapable of holding his bow, the Gandivam. Sri Krishna had to rouse him. Three million people had gathered on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Bhishma, Dharmaputra and other great warriors were there. But Sri Krishna chose to give his message to Arjuna, the one who was capable of absorbing it. No one else would have been able to digest the deep and high teaching.
