Obstacles in Spiritual Life – 13
There are evil minded people too. But if we are strong and honest with ourselves, honest with God, we do not have to be afraid of anything or anybody. Adhidaivikamm is misery caused by natural calamities like heavy rain, floods, cyclone, dry hot summer, tsunami, etc. I saw the place in Sri Lanka where tsunami had caused havoc. In one place large tracts of land lay waste after the Tsunami. I was told that one night there was a festival when thousands of people had gathered. There were houses of fisherfolk, a small temple and also a mosque. Many people had come to the temple and the mosque. At that time the tsunami came. Huge waves almost twenty feet high like a two-storied building came rushing. Nobody had time to run away, run away where? The houses, the children, the people were all washed away. Wave after wave kept coming.
