There is the story of a father who gave his son a bundle before he died, telling him to open it only when he finds himself in the deepest crisis. True to the promise given to his father, the son didn’t open the bundle even when he had no job and was starving and begging. One day he was very hungry and went to a rich man’s house begging for food. The rich man asked his servant to unleash the dog. The poor man ran in fear and as he ran, the bundle fell from his hand and gold bars and precious jewels fell out.
He had been carrying all this wealth and saying, ‘I have no money.’ We are all like that. We carry great wealth inside us. We’ve got this gold mine inside – the source of all strength. So then dig and dig till you find it and use it. Don’t cry and waste time. Be joyful.
