What we can learn from the Older generation–25
Challenges will come but we will face it. If they don’t come there is no sense of achievement. Once from Trissur we took the hostel girls on an excursion to Salem. All the arrangements for our stay, sight-seeing trip to the mountains etc. were well arranged by our hosts. I thought we had a fine time. So when we returned I asked the girls casually, “Wasn’t the excursion very interesting.” “They said no, because the excursion had no exertion. There was no trouble, no difficulty.” Instead of going up the hills by bus if they had been allowed to climb up, then they would have felt good. That challenge was needed. That challenge would have given them a sense of achievement afterwards.
