Facing the Challenges of Life in a Spiritual Way – 21
Latu Maharaj was a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. Once, after the hard work of the day, the poor boy who was massaging Sri Ramakrishna’s feet, fell asleep, with his head resting on Sri Ramakrishna’s leg. Sri Ramakrishna kept quiet not wishing to disturb his sleep. After a while Latu woke up. He was very embarrassed. He looked at Sri Ramakrishna. Thakur asked ‘Lato, what is your Rama doing now?’ Latu who was ashamed and angry said, ‘I don't know.’ “Is he sleeping? No, He is ever awake. He never sleeps. That’s why we people are able to sleep. He keeps watch over us.”
