Stress, Strain and Tension – 21
Let me tell you a story. Once a burglar entered a house. There was nobody there. He broke the lock and got in and took out a pencil torch to look around. Then he heard a voice, “I see you. Roger sees you.” Quickly he put out the torch light and stood still. No sound, absolute silence. After a few minutes he switched on the torch again. Once again the voice ‘I see you. Roger sees you.’ Again he put out the torch light. When this happened a third time the burglar said, ‘Who is that?’ and he shone the torch in the direction from where the voice came. It was a parrot! Taught by the owners to say the above words. The burglar said, ‘I will wring your neck out’ and moved forward but suddenly he stopped as if frozen. It was terrifying. Near the parrot was a huge dog staring at him. One step more and the burglar would be no more. So in one bounce he was out of the house. ‘I’ and ‘Roger’ are both within us. I, the individual and Roger, the God. Roger keeps quiet but comes to our help when we want Him. When necessity comes he will show his strength. So always remember we are walking temples. Wherever we go we carry the Lord with us. He is Roger. He is waiting for a chance to come out. When too much stress, strain and tension come remember I am a walking temple and I have to call on the Lord who is within. Roger is always awake. We cannot see him but he is there looking after the world, looking after us with big eyes!
