The following incident was related by Ramlal:

One day some devotees from Konnagar came to Dakshineswar and began to sing the Lord's name in the Master's presence. The Master and Latu joined in the singing. It was the first time that I had seen Latu join in a group such as this. He was seated in a corner, but when the Master called him, he at once came forward and soon started to dance. In time, however, he became tired and lay down. The Master saw this and began to sing Ram Nam (the glorious name of Lord Rama ) as he danced around Latu's prostrate body. Never before had I heard the Master sing Ram Nam so sweetly. One of the devotees from Konnager became overwhelmed by the mood of the singing, and , with great emotion, fell at the Master's feet.
