What we can learn from the Older generation – 01
The big question always is, where do we draw the line of division between the young and the old. Swami Vivekananda used to refer Sri Ramakrishna as ‘old man’. Sri Ramakrishna was just 50 years at that time. Once when Swamiji visited Sri Ramakrishna, he met Gopaler ma, a devotee of Sri Ramakrishna who always experienced the presence of Baby Krishna. Swamiji later reported that he saw the ‘old lady’. Gopaler ma was about 50 years old. So in those days 50 years meant old age. Today if you dare to call a person who is 50 an old person he or she will slap you! They are still young.
