Every person is born with good tendencies. We do not know what good or bad tendencies we have. Self-study is very important. In Raja yoga self-study is mentioned. People think that self-study means studying books by oneself. No, it is study of one’s own self. Understanding oneself. In Delphi, in Greece, at the entrance of the Temple of Apollo is written, ‘Know Thyself.’ If you know yourself, you can know everything.
