Hello, spinners

We will be meeting at the Woodstock library this coming Saturday.  We will be spinning up a storm!  Hope to see you there.  Also, we will be having guests who have equipment and fleece to sell/share.

Gail Weber has some fleeces she is looking for a home for.

(Sharon has sent this information about the other one.)

Ann Chaney will be bringing some of her spinning and fiber supplies that she is looking to sell to our Saturday Guild Meeting.  She had a Lendrum wheel with lazy kate and bobbins as well as a fast and bulky flyer to sell.  Lendrum is no longer making these very popular and user-friendly wheels, so this is the chance to still get one.  If you or someone you know is thinking about getting a wheel, this would be a wonderful opportunity.  There are a couple of ball winders.  Do you have one for at home and one for your travel stash?  As many of you  know, Mike does some beautiful wood working.  They still have one skein winder remaining.  I have the one my husband made, and I love it.  It is the same type that Mike has made.  There is an Inkle loom, which Jean had made.  I believe all the needed supplies are with it.  Could you use a pair of hand cards.  Ann has a nice pair available, and at significant savings.  And, Ann also has a couple of sewing machines for sale.  One was made by Jarnome.  It originally cost about $4000.00 and the other is a very unique machine.  It is an industrial combination machine.  One side is a regular sewing machine.  But, on the other end it is a serger.   It looks like it would be easy to thread, which is not often the case in older sergers. The machine has a feature where you can lift a lever and spin it around so that you can use one side or the other.  I am not sure she will bring these along, but if you are interested let me know.

See you Saturday!
