NH Bureau of Trails Snowmobile Conditions Report
Tuesday February 2, 2010

SEVERAL TRAILS SOUTH OF THE NOTCH HAVE SUSPENDED GROOMING OR
TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL THEY RECEIVE MORE SNOW, WATCH FOR CLOSED
SIGNS AND BE AWARE OF ICY CONDITIONS STATEWIDE. STAY OFF LAKES AND
PONDS

Coos County

Pittsburgh - 2-4" new snow on 4-9" base. Trails are groomed and riding
is fair to great. Caution - some ice. Shared logging Roads. Jct # 2238
at 112 & 143 Please do not stop and park in shared road.

Colebrook - 2" new snow 1-5"base. Trails are groomed when conditions
allow. Riding is good. Caution - Rails are exposed from Colebrook to
Stewartstown.
Stratford - 1-3" base. Grooming when conditions allow. Caution - Corr
3 N From Burns Truck Stop to Jct 3 & 7 Closed for logging.

Groveton/Nash Stream - 1-6" new snow on 2-8" base. Trails are groomed,
riding is good to great.

Groveton Village - 1" new snow on 0-2" base. Not grooming at this
time. Riding is marginal. Use Caution on rail line. Rails are
exposed.

Diamond Pond/Coleman State Park - 6" new snow on 8" base. Trails are
groomed and riding is great.

Errol - 1" new snow on 1-4" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is
good.

Cambridge - 1" new snow on 1-4" base. Riding is moderate to good.
Caution - some icy areas. Corr 18 South of Highway Rte 26, high water
in trail.

Milan - 1" new snow no 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is
moderate to good. Caution - some icy areas.

Twin Mtn - 0-6" base. Limited grooming and Riding is marginal to
moderate. Caution - Open water bars, ice and rails are showing.

Dalton - 1-3" base. Grooming when conditions allow. Riding is
marginal. Caution - open water bars.

Berlin - 1" new snow on 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is
good.

Berlin/Success - 1" new snow on 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and
riding is moderate.

Gorham - 1" new snow on a 0-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is
marginal to good. Caution - some icy condititions. Corr 19 South of
Gorham not groomed and riding is poor.

Jefferson - 1-2" new snow on a 0-6" base. Trails are groomed and
riding is marginal to good. Caution - open water bars and ice.

Lancaster - 1" new snow 0-5" base. Not groomed. Riding is marginal to
good. Caution - Rails on rail line are showing.

Whitefield - 1" new snow 0-2" base. Not groomed. Riding is marginal
to moderate. Caution - Rails are all exposed.

Franconia Notch - 1" new snow on a 0-2" base. Not grooming at this
time. Caution North end of bile trail is all dirt.

Bear Notch/Bartlett -4-10" base Trails are groomed and riding is good.
Caution -Thin cover on rails, use caution on icy corners. Watch for
mushers and cross country skiers. Please slow down in village.


Clubs in these counties were most affected by recent rain and warmer
temps.
Several are considered temporarily closed. Trails will reopen when
conditions allow.

Check individual clubs website for further information. Those trails
that are still open are reporting bare areas, open water and icy
conditions.

Watch for signs and hazard warnings.

These reports are posted by the New Hampshire Bureau of Trails and are
