New Hampshire Bureau of Trails Snowmobile Conditions
Tuesday February 16, 2010

SNOW IS ON THE WAY !

About 4 to 8 inches of snow is possible from central to southern New
Hampshire.
Areas to the north in the White Mountains and northern parts of the
Upper Valley should see about 2-5 inches with 1 to 3 inches far
north.
The White Mountains and Great North Woods could get a few more inches
of snow Wednesday and Wednesday night.

FRIDAY'S REPORT WILL HAVE SNOW TOTALS AND ANY NEW TRAIL RE-OPENINGS

MOST TRAILS SOUTH OF THE NOTCH REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THEY RECEIVE MORE
SNOW,
WATCH FOR CLOSED SIGNS AND BE AWARE OF ICY CONDITIONS STATEWIDE.
STAY OFF LAKES AND PONDS.

Coos County

Pittsburgh -2-3" new snow 5-10" base. Trails are groomed and riding is
good to great. Corr 20 from VT to Pittsburgh Village, has good riding.
Caution - some ice. Shared logging Roads. Jct # 2238 at 112 & 143
Please do not stop and park in shared road.

Colebrook - 1-5"base. Trails are groomed. Riding is good. Caution -
Rails are exposed from Colebrook to Stewartstown.

Stratford - 2-8" base. Trails are groomed and riding is great.
Caution - Rail bed is marginal riding. Twilight Dining and Poker Run
Saturday Feb 20th 4-7pm Clubhouse to Connley Cabins. See Clubs web

Groveton/Nash Stream - 2-8" base. Trails are groomed, riding is good
to great . Caution - some icy areas.

Groveton Village - 0-2" base. Riding is marginal to moderate. Caution
- Rails are exposed and some icy areas.

Diamond Pond/Coleman State Park - 4-5" new snow on an 8" base. Trails
are groomed and riding is great.

Errol -1-4" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is good. Caution - some
icy areas. Starting Monday Feb 15th Primary 115 (Charles Trail) will
be closed from Jct of Corr 18 to the Jct of the 13 Mile Trail, due to
logging, Use Primary 110 to Corr 18 to get into the town of Errol.

Cambridge - 1-4" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is good. Caution -
some icy areas.

Milan - 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good. Caution -
some icy areas.

Twin Mountain- 2-12" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal
to good. Caution - Rails exposed.

Dalton - 1-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to
good. Caution - some icy areas.

Berlin - 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to
good.

Berlin/Success -1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate
to good. Caution - some icy conditions.

Gorham - 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal to
good. Caution - some icy condititions. Corr 19 South of Gorham not
groomed and riding is poor.

Jefferson - 1-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to
good. Caution - Rails are exposed and some icy conditions. PLEASE stay
on trail when crossing golf course in Jefferson.

Lancaster - 1-5" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal to
good. Caution - Rails are exposed.

Whitefield - 0-2" base. Trails are Not groomed. Riding is marginal to
moderate. Caution - Icy conditions adn Rails are exposed.

Franconia Notch - 1-2" base. Not grooming at this time.Riding is
marginal to moderate. Caution North end of bike trail is all dirt.

Bear Notch/Bartlett - 4-10" base Trails are groomed and riding is
good. Caution - Thin cover on rails, use caution on icy corners. Watch
for mushers and cross country skiers. Please slow down in village.

Clubs in these counties are considered temporarily closed. Trails will
reopen when conditions allow.
Check individual clubs website for further information.

Those trails that are still open are reporting bare areas, and icy
conditions.
Watch for signs and hazard warnings.

Carroll County

Grafton County- Baker River Valley Club is reporting good riding in
High elevations with a 5" base. Unloading at Greens on Clough Rd in
Dorchester. Ham and Bean supper on Saturday Feb 20th 5-7pm at the club
house.
