Snowmobile Conditions Report
Friday January 15, 2010

Warmer Temps expected for the next couple of days.
Riders should use extreme caution. Rails are showing in many areas.
Avoid open bodies of water and stay off of ice.

Coos County

Pittsburgh - 8-18" base. Trails are groomed and riding is great.
Caution - Shared logging Roads. Jct # 2238 at 112 & 143 Please do not
stop and park in shared road.

Colebrook - 6-8"base. Trails are groomed, riding is good. Caution
Rails are showing.

Stratford - 6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to great.
Caution Corr 3 N From Burns Truck Stop to Jct 3 & 7 Closed for
logging.

Groveton/Nash Stream - 8 -10" base. Trails are groomed, riding is
good to great.

Groveton Village - 2-3" base. Riding is moderate to. Use Caution on
rail line. Rails are showing.

Diamond Pond/Coleman State Park- 16" base. Trails are groomed and
riding is great.

Errol - 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to great.
Caution - Trails are still being signed. Please stay off plowed
logging roads unless signed open.

Cambridge - 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to
great.

Milan - 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to great.

Twin Mtn - 1" new snow on 12-24" base. Trails are groomed and Riding
is good to great. Caution - Rails are showing.

Dalton - 6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good.

Berlin - 5-8" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to great.

Berlin/Success - 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to
great.

Gorham - 5-7" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good to great.

Jefferson - 4-9" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good.
Caution Rails are showing. Breakfast at the Waumbek Club house on Rte
2 in Jefferson this Sunday Jan 17th from 7 - 11am

Lancaster - 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to
good. Caution - Rails on rail line are showing.

Whitefield - 2-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to
good. Caution - Rails are showing.

Franconia Notch- 2-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is
moderate to good.

Carroll County

Bear Notch/Bartlett - 4-6" base. Trails are packed and groomed and
riding is moderate to good. Caution - thin cover on rails. Watch for
mushers and cross country skiers.

East Conway - 2-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal.
Caution- Trail from Hurricane Mtn Road to Fryeburg closed due to high
water.

Ossipee - 2-4" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is marginal. Caution -
Open water bars and Rails on Castle trail is thin at lower elavation.
Logging on Corr 15.

N Conway - 1-4" base Trails are packed and riding is marginal.
Caution - Open water bars and RR tracks are not covered.

Moultonboro - 1-2" base. Trails are thin and grooming will commence
with more snow. Riding is marginal. Caution Logging on Corr 15.

Freedom - 2-4" base. Minimal grooming at this time. Overall riding is
marginal. Caution - Logging Lead Mine Road. Some open water bars,
rocks and stumps.

Sandwich - 1-4" base. Trails are packed and riding is marginal to
moderate. Caution open water bars.

Grafton County

Bethlehem - 8-9" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate.
Caution - Rails are showing.

Lisbon - 3-5" base. Trails are groom and riding is good to great.
Caution deep woods trails are thin.

Plymouth- 1-4" base. Some trails are not groomed. Riding is marginal
to moderate. Caution - Open water bars. Logging west of Sandwich
Notch. New fence in trail through construction at Plymouth State
University.

Baker River Valley- 8-9" base in higher elevation and 1-2" base in
lower areas and a little thin. Trails are groomed and riding is good.
Caution open water bars and icy spots. Spaghetti supper Saturday
January 16th 5-7pm.

Belknap County

Meredith- Trails are not groomed and riding is marginal.

Merrimack County

Bear Brook State Park - 3-5" base. Gates are open. trails are packed
with limited grooming. Caution - watch for waterbars.

Strafford County

Milton- 2-4" base. Minimal grooming at this time and riding is
marginal. Caution Open water bars icy and thin.

New Durham/Powder Mill - 2-5" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is
marginal to moderate. Caution- Sporto trail closed. Stay off swamps,
lakes and ponds.

Rockingham County

Newfields - 1-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal.
Caution Icy thin base and open water bars.

Derry - 1-2" base. Trails are groomed and riding is marginal.Caution
- Washout just east of Windham Depot. Area has been flagged.

Pawtuckaway State Park- 3" base. Gates are open. Some trails have
thin cover. Caution for waterbars and debris.

Hillsborough County

Sullivan County

Pillsbury State Park - 12" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is
moderate to good. Caution - Mad Road is closed for logging.

Unity/Ackworth - 3-6" base trails are groomed and riding is marginal
to moderate. Caution - open water bars.

Claremont - 90% open. 2-6" base. Grooming has stopped and will resume
this weekend. Riding is marginal to moderate. Caution - Early season
conditions. Celanis trail is closed. Sugar River Trail 2-7" base.
Groomed and riding is good.

Cheshire County

Pisgah State Park- Trails are packed and riding is fair.

Hinsdale- 5" base. Trails are packed and not groomed. Rail beds are
open and overalll riding is fair. Caution - Icy and bare spots.

Rail Trails
Concord to Lincoln - Open Caution - Equipment on rail in New Hampton
North of Dana Hill Rd Bridge in Ashland station.
Northern Recreational Rail Trail, Boscawen to Lebanon - Trail is
groomed and riding is good.
Farmington Recreational Rail Trail - Gates have been opened.
Rockingham Rec Trail - 4" base. Caution rails are thin
Presidential Rail Trail - Open for riding.
Ashuelot Rail Trail - Open for riding. Gates Closed. 6" base,
packed.
Sugar River Rail Trail - 2-7" base. Riding is good.

These reports are posted by the New Hampshire Bureau of Trails and are
updated on Tuesdays and Fridays.
