Ok, downtown is full of great space right now. This list is far from
exhaustive, its what's in my head at the moment.

1.) Above the Tech Embassy.

Lots of space, interesting layouts.

2.) Corner of 8th & River, above Reader's World

Former Downtown Holland offices are now empty. Not huge spaces, but
fairly affordable.

3.) Scrap Yard Lofts

There is a great space in the basement that could be very cool. Lots
of space. There's also a building behind that looks nice, but I
haven't been inside. Probably the cheapest space per square foot
downtown.

4.) 25 W 8th, 3rd Floor above Talbots.

Collective Idea will be shortly moving into the 2nd floor alongside
Worksighted. That space is full, but the floor above us is vacant.
Might be too big/expensive.

5.) Washington Square

Torey Heinz has been looking at space over there. What's the story,
Torey?

There's lots more around. Let's get thinking!

Above Tech Embassy
====================
We looked at the space above the Tech Embassy earlier and talked with
them a bit on the space. It's $2,000/month (a/b 2,000 sqft. using 8th
st windows) and they aren't able to do much re-construction due to how
old the building is. If they do, they'll need to replace a lot as
(once construction starts) it will need to be brought up to code.

If serious, I'm sure we could talk them down on price and renovations
but that's what I know now. One nice thing about this space is that
there's a bit more room than what they're openly offering. May be nice
if for folks that need a more dedicated office space as well (Elevator
Up, Collective Idea, Walcott Imaging, etc...)

Corner of 8th & River, above Reader's World
====================
Do you know how much space they have and cost?

Next to Curragh
====================
There's a white building behind the Curragh and across the street from
JP's that we're looking at as well. It was for sale and now for lease.
Would need some construction inside to open it up but a great
location. We'll have a call back on those details hopefully later this
week.

245 Central Ave. (and 11th?)
====================
This is right across the street from Centennial Park and has between
3,000-11,000 sqft. Would also be a great location.

What's the status of space inside the new(er) Plaza East building on
8th St, or the old Home Fabrics building?

Washington Square

I described the space bit in another post, but I think Aaron is right,
the space is too small, and even though I do like the location it is a
little too removed from where the "action" is.

It would be a good space for 3-4 people to share a space, but not as a
Coworking environment.

We started talking with Mimi Fritz about the Home Fabric building last
week. Totally forgot about that. I have a call into her on some options.

Mimi's office is moving into the Home Fabrics building. Don't know how
much non-retail space is left.

Her office is what was above Reader's World. I don't know square
footage, but I know there are at least 3 rooms available, and I'm
pretty sure the salon that was up there just moved too.

I suspect Plaza East is quite expensive.

Yeah, Plaza East is probably on the higher end of the cost spectrum.
I'm also not sure if anything is built out in there either.

Lumir has a couple of spots listed on their site:

The old Bowling Alley sounds pretty neat.

the old bowling alley would be much cooler if they had left a few lanes in.

Maybe not for productivity, or taking calls, but still.
