Hi my name is Matt and I am new to this group.

A year and a half ago I weighed over 300 pounds. I am 6"4' tall. I was
a big boy!

I have been a Certified Hypnotherapist for about 4 years now.

When I realized that I needed to drop some weight I did some research
and started a new program for myself.

It consisted for Self Hypnosis and the Atkins Diet... I very much
dislike the word "diet" so I call it the Atkins "Program".

Anyway, I started out with the self hypnosis. I had my body discard
all the negative carbs over a three day period. I was also semi-fasting
(only Lunch and lots of water) After the third day, I started the
Atkins Program.

The first week is usually the hardest for most people starting Atkins.
I didn't have a problem with it because of the hypnosis. I had just
gave myself some suggestions to not let the changes bother me.

I bought the Atkins Cookbook (http://weightnetwork.com) and started to
cook. Normally when I cook I COOK!!! Fried, Deep Fried, Breaded, Etc.
Etc... everything that I should not be eating! I used some of my new
recipes and again with the use of hypnosis, I didn't have a problem
with the high fat, no carb cooking.

Another key to all of it was the water I was drinking. Before I started
my program, I would drink about a 12 pack of regular Dr. Pepper per
DAY!!! I didn't like the taste and didn't want anything to do with
water. I gave myself a suggestion to assign a taste to water (I wanted
it to be sweet). Now... I drink water like Dr. Pepper because it tastes
sweet to me.

After six months I was half way to my goal... at one year I reached my
goal... now I am maintaining my goal weight of 215!

The reason I am telling you all of this is because I feel strongly
about mixing programs. I have had clients that only used hypnosis to
reduce their weight... and others that only used Atkins... I have used
both with a wonderful outcome!

If anybody has any questions for me about my program... email me at
spenc...@gmail.com

Good luck with everything you do!

Matt
