You may have heard of HSC before -- we are a well-known organization
in the American Hindu community, as many successful young Hindu
leaders today were once a part of (or still a part of) an HSC chapter
at their alma mater. HSC is national non-profit organization dedicated
to keeping Sanatan Dharma alive on college campuses around America
through spiritual programs (pujas, lectures), seva (volunteer/
community work), and keeping Hindu youth aware of the issues affecting
the greater Hindu culture around the world.
Some of our most well-known chapters are at Rutgers (NJ), University
of Maryland (Baltimore and College Park), New York University
(Manhattan), SUNY Stony Brook, University of Southern Florida, and
Berkley (CA); these chapters are also active in organizing events for
the local Hindu community, especially when there is no temple nearby.
Every year, HSC holds a camp at the Vraj Bhoomi Temple in Schuylkill
Haven, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the camp is to have students from
HSC chapters around America meet, network, share ideas, and enjoy the
various things dharmic culture has to offer. This year is our 21st
camp! However, we do need some help with a small project we are
undertaking.
We would like to provide free t-shirts to every HSC member that
attends our camp. As you may be aware, students these days are very
hard-pressed for money, so charging extra for anything for our retreat
would not be our first course of action.
But members of the community (like you!) can help us to provide t-
shirts at no cost to our students, with a small donation of ten or
twenty dollars. Our final fund raising goal is $400.
If you could take a couple of minutes out of your day to donate to
help us out with our project, it would really mean a lot! You can
donate directly on the HSC website:

(Right side of the page, picture of Lakshmi Ma). Please indicate in
the note with your donation that it is for the HSC Camp t-shirt fund!
Thank you very much! Feel free to contact me if you have any
questions.
