I sure wish I was, but will probably not get back down until the middle of

Down in Tampa now but heading to Holden Beach on 8/1 and expect to be there until about 8/7 if anyone needs a fishing partner to help with expenses and clean the fish(sic).

Looking real ugly down here today. Storms blowing through and winds out of SE with big surf on the beaches. Plenty of rain. No one has missed anything and I believe it is supposed to continue through the week.

I am at Holden also. My yard is like a pond. It stopped raining this afternoon and I went to my neighbor's pier to set the crab traps. The water was over the lower platform on the pier, where the crab traps were stored. They were already in the water. I set them anyway but I doubt I catch any. My wife and I may try surf fishing for a little while tomorrow before going home if weather permits. We are planning on trying the pompano.

Lot of fireworks last night and into this AM. Heavy rain and the wind has let up some but going to be tough to get out on the beach. May try the ICW with some artificial and
or cut bait. Saw two small blues caught from the surf yesterday.

Just for home. Was here all week and fished two days, just fished the nearshore reefs. Too rough for anything else. Got a few flounder and a nice trout- nothing else but trash fish.

May try next weekend if weather will cooperate. Nearshore may be tough awhile from all the runoff.
